Veneers

Veneers are thin covers that are cemented onto the outer surface of the teeth, mostly the front teeth, to improve the smile considerably. They can cover enamel defects, spotted teeth and to a certain extent they can alter the shape and the color of the teeth as well.
The treatment with veneers requires 2 appointments. On the first appointment we discuss the possibilities and after an examination and x-ray, local anaesthetic is administered. The teeth are then filed down, the necessary impressions, bite registration and temporary veneers are made chairside to minimize the discomfort you might experience until the final veneers are made.

On the second appointment the temporaries are removed and the permanent veneers are fitted and cemented. This appointment might need the use of a local anaesthetic to avoid any discomfort.

The timescale of this type of treatment is as follows: manufacturing of the veneers takes 5 working days (Monday through Friday). You have the option of spending the entire time in Hungary or you can come for 2 separate appointments a week/5days apart. The prices include the temporary veneers!

Our clinic offers the following types of veneers:

• porcelain veneers are made from durable pressed porcelain. These veneers resemble natural teeth the most. In certain cases they are not recommended, you will be advised by our clinic.



• composite veneers (we use the brand GRADIA) are made out of a type of acrylic material which has a high aesthetic quality and excellent mechanical qualities. You will be advised if you are suitable for this type of veneer.

Lumineers
Our clinic has just introduced Lumineers treatment. These are contact lens thickness porcelain veneers that don’t require any drilling, injections, so it is a painless way to transform your smile!

The timescale is as follows: on the first appointment we discuss the possibilities, your expectations, impressions are taken and we choose the shade that suits you the most. The second appointment is 16 working days later (Lumineers are manufactured in a dental lab in California, allow for shipping). It is possible to have a wax-up made on a model to show you what can or cannot be achieved in your case with veneers. Please allow 2 extra days for the wax-up to be made. It may sound like an extra visit, but it is important for everyone to be totally aware of the possible outcome, since a cosmetic makeover is meant for a lifetime!

Usually 8-10 Lumineers are required to achieve a good-looking smile!
In some cases we do not recommend Lumineers on lower teeth, but you will be advised by our clinic.
